There are several great mysteries in Christianity. The amazing reality is that people of simple faith can understand these great hidden truths. These unknowable concepts of God are revealed to His family members as they learn about the Savior. Jesus said it this way, The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, (Mark 4:11,12)
The Word of God can be read by those not in the Kingdom but they can never understand it. They can even give great sermons but they do not understand what they are talking about. In fact, the smarter they are the greater their misunderstanding. God’s mysteries really are hidden in plain sight.
We can only understand these secrets of the Kingdom to the degree that they have been revealed to us. Paul asked one church to help him, Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, (Eph 6:19) Paul knew the mystery but wanted a way to present it so that the listener could understand what God had for them. There are even times when we are explaining something and learning at the same time. All truth about God is found in Jesus Christ. Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He (Jesus) appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. (1 Tim. 3:16)
Our goal is to live with God in eternity. This would not be possible if something unbelievable did not happen to us. To the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Col 1:27) Only as the life of Christ lives in us do we have a chance to be part of God in eternity. This will be our salvation when the Savior comes back for his own family. For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! (Rom 5:10) Christ living in us is the greatest mystery of all.
Here are some other mysteries:
This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. (Eph 3:6)
This mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. (Rom 11:35)
This mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, (Eph 3:9,10)
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet (1 Cor 15:51)
All the many mysteries of God are hidden in plain sight for those who serve Jesus.

How interesting that I just posted on FB, "It has been said that the Bible is God's love letter to His people. If you are not saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ, you are reading some else's mail."
It will make no real sense to the rest of the world. I just love how God keeps us on the same page!
